Donald Mudadirwa

Donald Mudadirwa is a legal practitioner and academic with a diverse background in prosecution, private practice, and higher education. He obtained his LLBS (Honours) degree from Walter Sisulu University (S.A.) in 2012. In June 2014, he joined the National Prosecuting Authority of Zimbabwe, serving as a public prosecutor in Mutare and Chitungwiza. Upon resigning from the NPA in January 2016, he joined private legal practice while furthering his academic credentials. He earned an MBA from the National University of Science and Technology (Zim) in 2020 and an LLM in Commercial Law, specializing in commercial contracts, from the University of Zimbabwe in 2022.

In September 2024, he joined the University of Zimbabwe as a Junior Lecturer in the Faculty of Law where he is currently serving in the same position. He was appointed Legal Proctor at the University of Zimbabwe in March 2025. He also serves on the Staff Development Committee and the Faculty of Law Graduation Committee, contributing to both academic excellence and institutional governance.

The establishment of Decipher Research Centre was motivated by the growing need for independent, evidence-based legal and policy analysis capable of bridging the gap between academic research and real-world governance challenges in Zimbabwe and comparable jurisdictions.
